Yuya Maeda - "Some Title With Kanji" Released 2011

Yuya Maeda is a mid-20s dude I met playing an acoustic guitar outside of where I was working one day, so I stopped and listened to him for a bit (and even sang some scat for a part of the third track on this CD).  I know one of the songs is him talking about his cat who died, and that the last song is some sort of children's show theme (like Sesame Street or something).  Anyway, he's a cool guy, and this three-track single is worth a listen.  I should really ask him for the names of these tracks, as well as the name of the single:

Dreams Come True - "The Swinging Star" Released 1992

Dreams Come True is a famous trio in Japan and they've put out quite a bit of music over the years.  This album is almost 20 years old... and they're still releasing music.

It's jpop that's chill with a little bit of a jazzy quality to it.  It's still pop, first and foremost.  The vocalist has a beautiful voice, but the songs on this album don't entirely show off things like range / agility and whatnot, I don't think.  This isn't a problem, so whatevs.

Blood Stain Child - "Epsilon" Released 6-15-2011

Some kinda speed scream melodic metal stuff by a band named Blood Stain Child.  It's a lot of synth and jpop stuff going on with a varied amount of screaming and guitar work.  Many of the lyrics seem to be in (good) English.

Honestly, I bought this as a joke present for a friend, because he knows it frustrates me that this band covered "True Blue" by Luna Sea.  I had no idea they sounded like this, so it's been very interesting listening to this album.
